If you draw most most information from history books, what you’ve been told is not the whole story; and history books are always revised by ‚the last winner‘ on top of the food chain. That is why unraveling the grandiose story of which Maeshowe tomb is one tiny aspect, seems utmost complex. Please, understand if I simplify and jump some things. Even a bit unusual, this ‚island hopping‘ finally offers a broader horizon. The term chaos derives from Ancient Greek χάος, kháos, officially meaning abyss, chasm, emptiness, vast void, the wide empty space between the stars and between our planet and the stars, from Proto-Indo-European *ǵʰeh₂n-, meaning gape, yawn, to open the mouth re mouth opening. Back to chaos. Let us take away the average Ancient Greek word ending -os from χάος, kháos. Now we are left with only χά, khá, ka.

Hence, Ka is ‘the delimited, individualized aspect of the greater etheric sphere. The double. The second body of our planet. The cha-os, in which the three-dimensional sphere breathes, from which the material world is born, rises, to which it re-turns, and in which all old, outworn form remainders quite naturally be dissolved again and again. Only by this recycling circle always enough building material is available for all life phenomena in the three-dimensional realm of the planet. To store parts or ‚bodies‘ of it somewhere safely, to encapsulate it eternally, seems so destructive when it comes to the circle of life.
Note that in the Latin alphabet, letter ‚k‘ is the 11th letter. 11 is a ‚double‘ letter, a ‚II‘ number. The sum of digits of Ka is 11+1 = 12. We find this concept a little later in the Twelver, the ’12er‘, Jupiter, in Ju-Ptah, IO-Ptah. You already guess here how closely concepts are interwoven. This utmost variable ether sphere is a small world!
Note: reverse Ka to Ak. Ak- re Akn, Aken, Aqen. Aken means concealed, hidden, underneath. Aken was the Ancient Egyptian underworld deity who guided sun god Ra as ‚the helmsman and protector of Ra’s celestial night bark‘ (have a look at the name Akhen-Aten. Maeshowe is one of the island’s largest buildings of that sort, consisting of a mound reaching a height of 24 feet. It encases a complex of passages and chambers built from crafted slabs of flagstone. Hence Hill of the (Un)Dead. In general, to better understand the meaning and significance of the Maeshowe landmark, we approach it, quite naturally and unconsciously, from our current mindset. How could we otherwise. If you look more closely at the central element of the relief, you will see not only the roots at the bottom, but also several vertical stalks, so that we can well speak of a sheaf or harvest.
On top of the figures we see the sun disk. In an earlier animalised version, the ancient Egyptian Uraeus serpent was the watcher and guardian preparing the place of gathering:

Back to the roots of Christ: Proto-Indo-European root *ghrei-, ghrēi-, not only means to rub, but later, transmogrified to Greek khriein, meaning to besmear, conceal, cover, hide. I am not yet through it. We take another look at the ancient Egyptian chests. The golden lid on it, also known as the mercy seat, in Hebrew הַכַּפֹּֽרֶת kapõret, from the root kpr (hence Kippah). Root kpr means to propitiate, to smear. In his great book, David A.Falk offers a lot of excellent hints. For example, that the (golden) lid on an ancient Egyptian chest, and today on a coffin, was called kap.
